About Franklin Boggs-
Franklin Boggs is well known for his many achievements as artist, muralist, professor, and lecturer. He has been a winner of many art competitions over the years and was recognized as LIFE magazine’s leading young artists.
Starting a career around the outbreak of World War II, he began to document the work of the Army Medical Department in the South Pacific.
His art has been exhibited in many U.S. museums including the Metropolitan, Corcoran, Legion of honor and Chicago Art Institute. His talent has been exhibited in public buildings, medical centers, educational institutions, and leading galleries nationwide.
***W. Franklin Boggs died of natural causes Nov. 7 in Beloit. He was 95.

About Boyd’s-
Boyd’s glassmaking started with Zack Boyd in 1901, at the age of 13 while working at various glass factories.
Later, Boyd’s Crystal Art Glass opened on October 10, 1978. Formulas and secrets has been passed down for generations. The family still manufactures collectibles the old-fashioned way, by using methods with man and mould, and not with machines.

About Fenton-
Fenton Art Glass Company is the largest manufacturer of handmade colored glass in the United States. Fenton is wide known for its beautiful colors and patterns which has helped keep Fenton in the forefront of the handmade art glass industry.
Each piece of glass is an artistic creation by skilled glassworkers and decorators.
On August 10, 2007, the Fenton Art Glass Factory announced it would be ceasing it’s operations over the next couple of months due to financial troubles.
After this initial announcement, orders flooded in and with new structure and reorganizing, the Fenton company is now able to keep their doors open. The recently formed Fenton/International division will also help keep the company in business.
